Portrait of Dave Clarke

Mr. Clarke is a Vice President of the 20/20 Capital Group. Mr. Clarke has thirty years of executive, financial and transactional leadership experience with small to mid-size technology companies, with a particular emphasis in the optics, software and electronics space.

Mr. Clarke began his career in the UK with various technical sales roles, culminating in the position of General Manager at Optilas, a pan-European technology distributor. He moved to the US in 1994 as International Sales Manager for Synrad, a privately-owned Seattle-based manufacturer of industrial lasers, going on to become VP - Marketing, Director of R&D and, in 1998, upon Synrad's acquisition by the Excel Technology Group (Nasd: XLTC), was appointed President.

In 2008, Excel was acquired by GSi Group (Nasd: GSIG), and Mr. Clarke became Group Vice President for GSI's Laser Division, where he developed and lead a multinational strategy resulting in the sale of two operating divisions, and the consolidation (and eventual sale) of two others. In addition to his ongoing position as Synrad's President, and GSi Group's Laser Division Vice President, Mr. Clarke's role included identifying and analyzing numerous acquisition targets for the parent company. Mr. Clarke was an equity holder of the companies and divisions he led, and his actions resulted in material financial gains for himself and other owners.

Since 2012, Mr. Clarke has been engaged in consultative investment banking activities, including developing growth strategies for, and raising required financing for, technology and technology-influenced companies.

With a career spent in fast-paced, growth companies, many facing challenging circumstances, Mr. Clarke's background is broad-based, with experience in sales and marketing (throughout the US, Europe, and Asia), R&D, product development, manufacturing, operations and CEO level leadership. His approach is very hands-on, and he typically works with companies or divisions from start-ups to $100 million in sales.

Mr. Clarke has an Honors Degree in Applied Physics from Brunel University (London), a private pilot's license and, occasionally, engages in amateur auto racing. Along with his wife, Jenifer, he enjoys scuba diving and skiing. Mr. Clarke resides in Seattle, WA.
