Jean-Marc “JM” Athanassiadis

Executive Project Manager

Portrait of Executive Project Manager

JM specializes within the 20/20 Capital Group on matters relating to managing complex, often multifaceted projects, typically relating to recycling, waste-to-energy, and electric energy production and sustainability projects. JM’s organization and engineering talents coalesce extremely well with 20/20’s investment banking/M&A and project finance activities.

In addition, JM is working closely with 20/20 in seeking to identify and acquire a small manufacturing business to add to JM’s acquisition company, Ascent Enterprises, LLC (www.Ascent-Enterprises.com), quite possibly in the energy/sustainability/manufacturing sector. JM is pursuing this acquisition with his acquisition and investor team, which includes (on a day-to-day basis) 20/20’s CEO, Thomas Hurkmans (and his 20/20 team), and 20/20’s private equity shareholder, Skip Hauser. Messers Hurkmans and Hauser have assembled the financing needed to support any Ascent acquisition. Post-closing, Messers Hauser and Hurkmans, who have known and worked with Jean–Marc for over a decade, will be board members and minority owners in Ascent Enterprises.

Prior to founding Ascent, JM spent the prior 15 years operating the Motion and Controls, Industrial Drives, Electromechanical Actuators, Sensors, Industrial Profile System and Electric Motors business units of Parker Hannifin (NYSE:PH), an industry leading corporation specializing in manufacturing a wide variety of motion and control products, using cutting edge operations. JM often led the mergers of business units for Parker, which he subsequently operated and repositioned for optimal results.

JM started at Parker as a manufacturing engineering trainee in France, where he was quickly identified as one of the company's highest performing leaders. JM was fast-tracked into Parker’s leadership track which allowed him to take on high profile leadership roles for Parker businesses in California, Ohio, Minnesota, North Carolina, Illinois and Pennsylvania.

Jean-Marc holds a French Mechanical Engineering degree (B.Sc. equivalent) and a European Masters in Industrial Business Management, both from the University of Burgundy, France (a university ranked in the top 5% universities in the world). JM is fluent in English and French. Jean-Marc lives in Pittsburgh, PA, with his wife, Laurie, and their young son, Leo.
